Welcome to Service Stewards! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our Service Style Assessment quiz and related services. By submitting your email and taking the assessment, you agree to these Terms.

Scope of This Policy

These Terms apply to your use of all Service Stewards services, including:

  • Our Service Style Assessment quiz (free)

  • Our website and informational pages

  • Email communications and newsletters

  • Purchased products (digital downloads, guides, facilitation kits, courses)

  • Online training programs and webinars

  • Group training and consulting services

  • Social media interactions

  • Any future products or services we offer

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Service Style Assessment or any Service Stewards services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Service Stewards provides educational resources, training, and tools to help individuals and organizations improve their service excellence. Our services include:

  • Service Style Assessment™ - A free educational quiz to identify your primary service style

  • Digital Products - Guides, workbooks, facilitation kits, and other downloadable resources

  • Online Courses - Self-paced and instructor-led training programs

  • Social Media Content - Free tips, ideas, and educational content

  • Group Training & Facilitation - Workshops and group sessions (online and potentially in-person)

  • Consulting Services - Custom consulting and training for organizations

  • Future Services - Additional products and services as we develop them

The Service Style Assessment is provided as a free resource for informational and educational purposes.

3. User Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this service. By using the Service Style Assessment, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Assessment Results

The Service Style Assessment results are provided for educational and self-development purposes. They are:

  • Based on self-reported responses and may not be completely accurate

  • Not intended to be professional advice, counseling, or psychological evaluation

  • Not a substitute for professional assessment or guidance

  • Intended as a starting point for self-reflection and personal growth

Results should not be used for: employment decisions, clinical diagnoses, legal proceedings, or any other official purpose without proper professional evaluation.

5. Quiz Results and Responsibility to Save

Service Style Assessment Results: When you complete the free Service Style Assessment, your results are displayed immediately on screen with the option to download free results images.

Your Responsibility to Save Results:

  • You must save your results at the time of completion by taking a screenshot or downloading the provided results images

  • While we store quiz data for aggregate analysis and tool improvement, we do not provide individual result retrieval services for the free assessment

  • As a small business, we cannot accommodate requests to look up or resend your results after you've left the results page

What Data We Store: We retain your quiz responses and results data for:

  • Aggregate data analysis and research

  • Improving the assessment tool and methodology

  • General statistics and insights

This data is used internally and is not available for individual retrieval requests.

What We Can Provide: Our database shows your top service style profile (sent via email). We cannot provide detailed breakdowns, full scoring, or recreate your complete results page.

Recommendation: Download or screenshot your full results before leaving the results page. This is your only opportunity to capture your complete assessment breakdown.

6. Paid Products and Services

Free vs. Paid: While the Service Style Assessment is free, many of our other products and services require payment. By purchasing products or services from Service Stewards:

  • You agree to pay the stated price at the time of purchase

  • All sales are processed through secure payment processors

  • Digital products are typically delivered via email or through our learning platform

  • Access to purchased digital products is typically granted immediately upon successful payment

Refund Policy:

  • Digital products: Due to the immediate access nature of digital products, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis

  • Courses and training: Refund eligibility depends on the specific program and will be stated at time of purchase

  • Group facilitation kits and physical products: Returns may be available within a specified timeframe

  • For refund requests, contact privacy@servicestewards.com

License and Usage:

  • Digital products and materials are licensed for personal, facilitator-specific or single-organization use unless otherwise specified

  • Materials may NOT be incorporated into your own curriculum, regular programming, or ongoing service delivery without written consent from Service Stewards

  • You may not resell, redistribute, or share purchased materials without permission

  • Group facilitation kits may have specific licensing terms included with purchase - please review and comply with those terms

  • Facilitators are responsible for their own data collection practices with participants

Consulting and Custom Services:

For consulting services and custom training engagements, separate service agreements may be required that specify:

  • Scope of work and deliverables

  • Payment terms and schedules

  • Confidentiality requirements

  • Data collection and usage specific to that engagement

These service agreements will supplement and, where necessary, supersede portions of these general Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

All Service Stewards content, products, and materials—including but not limited to the Service Style Assessment™, guides, courses, facilitation kits, frameworks, methodologies, training materials, and written content—are the original intellectual property of Service Stewards, developed from over 23 years of experience in the nonprofit and social service field (including 17 years in management).

All content is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials without written permission

  • Use our content for commercial purposes without authorization

  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our methodologies or frameworks

  • Remove any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

  • Claim our content, ideas, or frameworks as your own

  • Share purchased digital products with others (unless specifically licensed for group use)

Purchased Products: When you purchase our products, you receive a license to use them for your personal development or within your organization as specified at time of purchase. This does not transfer ownership or allow redistribution.

Trademarks: "Service Stewards" and "Service Profiles" are trademarks of Service Stewards. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

8. Email Communications

By providing your email address, you consent to receive:

  • Your Service Style Assessment results (immediate)

  • Follow-up emails with educational content and resources related to your service style

  • Information about Service Stewards products, courses, and services

  • Promotional offers and special announcements

  • Tips and ideas related to service excellence

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link provided in each email. Please note that you may still receive transactional emails (such as purchase confirmations, product access, or course enrollment information) even after unsubscribing from marketing communications.

9. User Conduct

When using our services, you agree not to:

  • Provide false or misleading information

  • Attempt to manipulate or game the assessment

  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to take the assessment

  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or data

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose

10. Social Media and Public Content

When using our services, you agree not to:

  • Provide false or misleading information

  • Attempt to manipulate or game the assessment

  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to take the assessment

  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or data

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose

11. Retaking the Assessment

You may retake the Service Style Assessment at any time. We track the number of times you complete the assessment to improve our services. Each completion will update your most recent results while preserving your initial assessment data.

12. Group/Class Participation

Free Quiz in Group Settings: If you're taking the free Service Style Assessment as part of a group or class, you acknowledge that:

  • Your participation may be tracked for the organization's purposes

  • Your individual results remain private and confidential

  • The organization may receive aggregated, anonymized data about participant completion rates

Purchased Group Training: If your organization has purchased group training, facilitation kits, or consulting services:

  • Your organization may receive participant data and results as agreed upon in their service agreement

  • Specific data sharing terms will be outlined in the organization's contract

  • Individual participants will be notified of what data is shared with their organization

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service Style Assessment is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of results

  • Fitness for a particular purpose

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Service Stewards shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to:

  • Decisions made based on assessment results

  • Loss of data or information

  • Service interruptions or technical issues

Purchased Products and Services: Our liability for paid products and services is limited to the amount you paid for that specific product or service. We strive to provide high-quality educational content, but results from using our products, courses, or consulting services may vary based on individual circumstances and implementation.

Business Operations: Service Stewards operates as a small business. While we strive to provide excellent service, we cannot guarantee:

  • Immediate response times to all inquiries

  • Availability of specific services at all times

  • Uninterrupted access to digital platforms or content

We reserve the right to limit service availability based on capacity.

15. Data Accuracy

You are responsible for providing accurate information, including a valid email address. Service Stewards is not responsible if you do not receive your results due to an incorrect email address or email filtering/blocking.

16. Third-Party Services

Our service uses third-party platforms (including Airtable and Systeme.io) to store and manage data. While we select reputable providers, we are not responsible for their policies, practices, or any service interruptions they may experience.

17. Recorded Content and Online Classes

Service Stewards may offer online classes, webinars, or group sessions conducted via video conferencing platforms (such as Zoom or Google Meet). By participating in these sessions, you acknowledge that:

  • Sessions may be recorded for quality assurance, training purposes, or to provide to participants who cannot attend live

  • You will be notified at the beginning of any session that is being recorded

  • Recorded sessions may be shared with other participants, sold as digital products, or used for marketing purposes

  • By remaining in a recorded session after notification, you consent to being recorded

  • You may choose not to turn on your camera or microphone if you prefer not to be recorded

  • If you do not wish to be recorded, you may leave the session or contact us for alternative arrangements

Participants are prohibited from recording sessions without explicit permission from Service Stewards.

18. Modifications to Service and Terms

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time

  • Update these Terms of Service as needed

  • Change pricing for products and services with reasonable notice

  • Update course content, materials, or delivery methods

  • Discontinue specific products while honoring existing purchases

For Free Services (like the quiz): We may modify or discontinue without notice. For Paid Services: We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes, and existing purchases will be honored according to the terms at time of purchase.

Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

19. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to the service at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms or for fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful conduct.

20. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

21. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

22. Force Majeure/Service Interruption

Service Stewards is not liable for service delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • Internet or hosting service outages

  • Third-party platform failures (Systeme.io, Airtable, Zoom, email services, etc.)

  • Technical malfunctions or cybersecurity incidents

  • Natural disasters, pandemics, or other force majeure events

In the event of service interruptions affecting paid products, we will make reasonable efforts to restore service or provide alternatives.

23. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Service Stewards from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms

  • Your misuse of our products or services

  • Your violation of any third-party rights

  • Actions taken by participants in groups you facilitate using our materials

24. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Service Stewards regarding the use of our service.
